Interesting! Always amazes me how the sweeping technological changes of today have deep, deep roots, going many decades back. But I guess that's how technology can work---you plug away at something for a while, and then you finally achieve a breakthrough. I will say, I hope another "AI winter" can roll around to slow things down before they get too wacky, LOL.
