The year thus far has truly sucked. I ended last year in such a whirl of activity! I had prepared four books for publication, the last of which, Some Unknown Gulf of Night, came sneakily upon me like a night-gaunt from ye void, took hold of my fever'd imagination and I wrote the thing in a state of self-hypnosis in a matter of six weeks, and the the following week I flipping sold it to Arcane Wisdom Press! That was wild and wondrous. All of that activity instilled within me a super-confidence...

You can see that I am still very clueless when it comes to Internet techno-hoodoo. I think what happened is I began my blog but then had to take my boyfriend to the band so I tried to save the draft but posted it instead, and then I tried to delete it to start all over and...

ANYWAY -- what a great year I have had! One of the coolest things ever to happen to me as a writer was to appear in S. T. Joshi's Black Wings...

I am not too active online any longer for a number of reasons, but moftly because I am obsessively writing my wee books. This frantic creativity is, in part, due to ye death of a dear friend, Joyce, who passed away from heart failure this past June. I had no idea she had a bad heart, and she was but five months older than myself! It makes me feel so very mortal and I have so many books I yet want to write that I have become obsess'd with working on them and...

Just heard from Jerad at Centipede Press to-day that my omnibus, The Tangled Muse, is just about to see print! Gawd, I feel a Lovecraftian faint coming on. It still seems like some unlikely dream to me that Centipede Press is going to do a collection of mine weird fiction. Their books are such beautiful works of art.

I have postponed working on a 20,000 word novella inspir'd by "The Dunwich Horror" -- far too ambitious a project for ye mood I find myself in, one of laziness...

I've not been around much, nor have I recorded any new vlogs for almoft one week -- because I am lost in that wonderful realm of intense artistic creation. I've had an idea for a book that I thought was far-off in ye future, a wee collection of my tales of Nyarlathotep. Well, over the past couple of years David Wynn of Mythos Books has been hinting big-time that he wants to publish a new Pugmire collection, and suddenly I didn't want to wait any longer for my collection of Crawling Chaos tales....
