For the first time in a long time, I have the inspiration to write again. It's been very strange these past few months. I've had next to no inspiration or inclination to write, save for the writing contest, and that felt a bit depressing, really.

Things have changed, though. I've got my inspiration back, and I feel like I can actually write something again. Here's hoping I can make a better go of it this time.

It's been a long time since my last blog post. A lot has happened, too. This summer has been really busy!

In short, I've had to help my sister with her wedding, I've had to deal with computer problems (so much so that I've been convinced it's been dead on several occasions, only for it to rise again) and I've been wracked by a combination of lack of inspiration and no real desire to write. It's been an odd couple of weeks for me.

Over these past few weeks, I've had a lot of things to deal with, from the trivial to the very serious, and I'm feeling a bit drained from it all. The upside to it is that I've been writing a lot more.

Looking back on my old writing is hard, sometimes.

My new story takes place in a world I created about six years ago, mostly because I really love the setting and this new storyline seemed to fit right in. However, I needed to refresh my memory about certain things so I dug out my old writing books and read through them, making notes as I went. Needless to say, I was quite surprised at the amount of mistakes and inconsistencies.
