Oh, I’m a real worry! Old age and forgetfulness seems to be the order of the day.
Not so long ago I hung my washing in the wardrobe to dry.
Then just a few minutes ago the phone rang – so I picked up my coffee cup to answer it! Luckily the coffee had gone cold, as is usual, so at least I didn’t get scalded. I’m wondering what I will do next – any suggestions?
Oh, that should read 'helpful and nice' suggestions, otherwise, who knows what suggestions I might reveive!

Mother Can't Use Her Washing Line!

A pair of Willy Wagtails (members of the fly-catcher family) are once again nesting on the frame of my Mother's washing line!
If she needs to go out and water her pot plants then she has to put her sun hat on as they dive bomb her
They have nested there before but never this late in the year. It's quite sad to watch the parents sitting in the hot summer sun upon the nest. Now and again, they will quickly have a dip in one of the bowls of water we have put out for them before returning to the neat cup shaped nest. Sometimes they will stand on the edge of their nest, wings outspread and little beak wide open as they try to keep cool.
We are hoping that the eggs will hatch very soon and that the fledglings survive.
