Oh, I’m a real worry! Old age and forgetfulness seems to be the order of the day.

Not so long ago I hung my washing in the wardrobe to dry. Then just a few minutes ago the phone rang – so I picked up my coffee cup to answer it! Luckily the coffee had gone cold, as is usual, so at least I didn’t get scalded. I’m wondering what I will do next – any suggestions? Oh, that should read 'helpful and nice' suggestions, otherwise, who knows what suggestions I might reveive!

MY LITTLE KITTEN
I had a little kitten,
Titptoes was her name.

She thought it was a game.

I was trying to knit a jumper
For my darling little Kate
When the kitten

Mother Can't Use Her Washing Line!

Posted 21st December 2010 at 12:02 PM by Rosemary (Rosies Ramblings)

If she needs to go out and water her pot plants then she has to put her sun hat on as they dive bomb her

They have nested there before but never this late in the year. It's quite sad to watch the parents sitting in the hot summer sun upon the nest. Now and again, they will quickly have a dip in one of the bowls of water we have put out...

I wrote up a few post cards, there had been so little time during the week. It took quite a while to find the Post Office as it was hiding behind a very old building with ‘GPO’ engraved on the old façade!

And on the last day of the Convention

Posted 4th October 2010 at 06:49 PM by Rosemary (Rosies Ramblings)

My first session today was ‘The Lure Of A Good Map’ and on the panel were Ian Irvine, D.Cornish and Russell Kirkpatrick. I myself like books with maps in, so found this very relevant. It was a great discussion on ‘knowing where you are, the topography and how the weather plays a role in ‘your world’.

Later I went to ‘Losing The Plot: Plotting in Advance vs. Writing As You Go’. Stephen Dedman, Lezil Robyn and John Scalzi, the Panel, all discussed their different ways of plotting....

Another ‘non-stop’ day.

Posted 29th September 2010 at 11:46 PM by Rosemary (Rosies Ramblings)

The first panel was ‘The Series Question: Big Books Chopped Up or Small Books Glued Together’. On the panel were David Cornish, Kate Forsyth, Ian Irvine & Lara Morgan. There were of course many reasons for & against this & of course, the publishers having much to do with it.

At midday, I dashed off to get Trudi Canavan’s signature on my copy of ‘Priestess of the White’. She kindly signed my copy & someone obligingly took a photograph of us.
