I don't know about you, but there seems to be alot of misbehavior by certain people on the site.

I know I'm no angel but I'm not aware of a time where I've been offensive or disrespectful to anyone. Yes, I have strong opinions but I'm happy to discuss them in a civilised way.

Well, a positive thing has come from actually getting round to posting to my first ever blog. I've starting writing up a snippet based on one of the ideas that's been rattling around in my head - helped immensely by the fact that my darling children (they were on this occasion) stayed in bed until 9 the other morning so I got a precious hour and a half to myself with a cup of coffee and the computer.

Imagine this, my son. A bonny lad like his father lives on the bottom floor of our townhouse. He's got his own kitchen, bathroom and plenty space. I go downstairs to let the dogs out for a pee earlier today and while they were releasing the contents of their bladders. I turned and caught a glimpse of him lying on his bed ironing.

Well I've never ever seen a 21 year old ironing before so you can imagine my surprise.

Well, been off a week now and tried to avoid thinking about anything other than my book. Started it four years ago today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY you evil wretch. Is it really that long that I've been floundering in the choppy waters of fledgling writers.

Anyway, I've learnt something over the last couple of days thanks to CTG. I've always struggled to convey what I'm thinking (Which is brilliant) into third person narrative and so consequently some of my words have been stiffer than President...

Things to do!

I have come to the conclusion that there just aren't enough hours in the day, or at least child-free hours, where I can actually accomplish stuff.

I have some great ideas for stories knocking around in my head, but just finding the time to do something about them currently seems impossible. So, amongst my new years resolutions, of which there won't be too many, is going to be to try and at least write to this blog once a week. I'm working on the theory that if I can get into the habit...
