Well, the resolution to write at least once a week to this blog has held surprisingly well considering I’ve managed it 5 out of 7 days so far. However, this is just the first week . . . .

But being back on this site has proved to be such a major inspiration in so many ways. I frequently check out the ‘who’s online’ section, as I often see people viewing threads that I may not have found myself. As a result I’ve often started reading threads with very interesting thoughts and opinions...

I'm resolved! (annually)

Yeah, these titles are getting harder to come up with.

but, here we go.

  1. Finish either Malessar's Curse or Empire Dance Vol.1
  2. Exhaust all submission possibilities for the current crop of short stories
  3. Go to at least one convention.
  4. Get the hell outta Meadowhall
  5. Get Championship Manager working on the Linux-powered Acer Aspire One I'm currently using.
as far as they go then, 1 & 5 could work against each other quite badly. discipline will be neccessary. 2 is...

Inglourious Basterds (2009)

Just watched this Tarrantino film and wasn't it a cracker. I wasn't sure what to expect but it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. And boy, the gory bits are...definately Tarantino gory!

WW11 is a subject close to my heart and I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of alternative history.

Brad Pitt and his guys were awesome and I can understand why the ladies find him attractive. I might be turning in me old age but watch it it's great entertainment.

Alien spaceship vs strange weather balloon?

It's been a great day so far, as long as I ignore the lack of sleep brought on by the kids.

Hubby did the early so I got a precious extra hour of sleep. The Christmas decorations and lights are all down. I can't wait to get on with the new year and leaving everything up until the 6th seems incredibly depressing. The tree has been taken to the tip, and the house is getting back to normal.

The new sofas arrived earlier on today, and look so much better than the old, tatty...

Well I'll be back to trying to earn a living on Monday. Being self employed you don't have the luxury of knowing by just turning up on Monday your next pay cheque starts being calculated.

But never mind, I've been thinkink of doing what those inovative guys did in Ireland and getting myself a digger and removing a cash machine from some poor banks wall.

It would just be like taking back me own money really. Like Robin Hood in reverse, after all the bank's conned the country...
