...now Empire Dance is on Lulu's search engines. Unfortunately I'm not even on the first page of the "Poore" name search. Who'd have thought there'd be so many of us??

Meanwhile I've ordered a preview copy so that I can enable the distribution side of the affair. And a relaxing afternoon at the library yesterday added another 2.5k to the total for Volume 2. The only problem now is that, with 30k still to write, I've started to wonder if my cliffhangers are in the right places.......

And so it begins...

I uploaded the finished ms of Echoes of War just before the weekend and, having surfed and scurfed for a suitable cover image, mocked up a draft cover. Actually, I liked that cover so much I kept it.

An anticlimactic halfhour later, the book was live on Lulu and i had a storefront page to sell the book from.

Oddly it doesn't turn up in the product searches straightaway - that apparently takes a few days for Lulu to reorganise and reindex...

Its that time of year again, that hellishly-embarrassing, absurdly nationalistic car crash of a day. I refer, of course, to St Georges day, that marks the day Littlejohn ascended to the Daily Mail (Probably). A festival for the mealy-mouthed, 'I'm not a racist but...' crowd to don an England top over their beer bellies and dance the Ukip fantastic.

The curse of the Curse has struck again: no movement for a few weeks now. But on the plus side the second part of Empire Dance has really taken off. Yes, it is pulp, yes it takes hackneyed old cliches and does nothing new with them, but damn it's fun to write!

Plus, I've mocked up a cover for the first part and cleared out the most egregious typesetting errors (continuity is a totally different kettle of fish. In fact, I'm rather looking forward to having people shoot me down in flames...

Well, it’s been an enlightening couple of weeks.

Last week I was fuming at the idiot who backed his minibus into my car, thus causing a great deal of stress before our holiday to Centre Parcs. I got wound up to the point of having spontaneous nosebleeds whilst driving.

Then, I went on holiday. We went with old friends of many years, most of whom also have kids now, with my 4 year old son being the oldest of the 6 of them. The two littlest ones are coming up to a year...
