Spool Pidgin- My little Clarion (and other stuff) Blog.

Hi gang,

I've started a blog like all the crazy cool kidz are doing these days.

This one's special though, at least temporarily, as I'll be trying to record my Clarion memories and hopefully that may be instructive to some of you who might be thinking for applying to go there or just want to know about workshoping generally or... I don't know,. Hey, I'm not the boss of you. That'd be your actual boss.

Dad's flat.

Well. It was pretty grim. Managed to get the five packs of meat off the windowsill with the help of one of those 'grabbers', similar to the things that litter-pickers use. And goggles, gloves and a face mask.

I think the term is putrification - the meat had melted/turned to mush in the packets - it was vile. I couldn't reach the bottle of milk through the brambles, but did manage to get the half full ice cream tub. Once that was all double bagged, I turned my attention to the area...

Busy, busy, busy . . .

I had a romantic notion that when I stopped working, I'd be able to relax a little. Have the occasional cuppa in the garden whilst listening to the birds and watching the flowers grow; meeting friends for coffee, and spending some time either on my bike or at the swimming pool. Perhaps even getting a chance to write some more, or go out with the new camera and take some fab pictures for the competition.

The reality is that I haven't been busier. I don't seem to stop, and yet progress...

A Diatribe on Dragonkind.

So, what do we know about dragons?

They're reptilian, for a start, and this could well indicate cold blooded. Their relatively infrequent feeding would tend to support this hypothesis.

They're big. No question there, everyone agrees. At least horse sized, and probably house sized. Of course, people tend to exaggerate, bringing shrews down to gnat dimensions, and postulating mosquitoes that fly away with small children, but I think we can be certain they are considerably...
