Well its tricky to pick a starting point for this so I guess the best way is to go all the way back to the beginning with things and go from there.
First off a bit of backing to last year - the year before I was attacked just after Christmas - result was a broken cheek bone and a few weeks off uni. That rather broke things for that year so out I came with the intent of returning the next year for a fresh start and to finish the work. However during that long summer holiday (and it was long - the time I was doing the building work) I lost the data for my dissertation. This is where things first took their downturn and changes - especailly in my behavour. Unlike my more normal self I hid this fact for the first term up until winter - after that I became more withdrawn ( in the summer term) and stopped attending lectures - which was when it was spotted and things came out.

I was lucky and I was given a second chance to come back to a total restart for the 3rd year. So back again last Autumn I started again - but only a month in and my required trips to reserach my new dissertation data stopped - even now I am not totally sure why I stopped going, but I did. Things kept plugging along during the lecture side (my dissertation being in another uni due to my lecturer moving there) and things remains unnoticed till late last term when pressure mounted on me again and I slipping to the hiding again. (even from here - strange as I kept up with some other site, but I just could not come here - and face things a bit)

Well things came out sooner this time (somehow I think I resulted in some departmental changes to supervision of students last time around!) and again I am back at the drawing board. This time, however, have been recomended to see the counseling service as well as my gp and after seeing both they (as well as my parents and lecturers) belive that I have suffered from a form of depression. After consulting with my GP I am now on a course of medication (nothing amazingly strong since it has not been classed as extreme depression - the test said mildly depressed - that was after a good christmas away).

So I am back at uni now and tomorrow is the day I go in to sort things again - not sure what will happen or be said, though my department have remained posetive and supportive - so here is hoping for good things.

And so that is where the wolf has been!
