I've been spending the past few days watching big parts of the Democratic National Convention. This is not a bad thing, as I am a registered Democrat and so agree with much of what has been said from the dais.
I probably won't watch much of the Republican convention...it wouldn't do to throw something through the television set, and I'm afraid I'd be tempted after listening to just a few minutes of that. I suspect I'll look in from time to time, for the entertainment value, but I'll likely have to limit my exposure.
But the really bad stuff comes after the confetti has all been thrown and the balloons have all been dropped. Then the flood begins...the flood of political advertisements, of political rhetoric, of mudslinging (which has already begun, of course, but will only get worse). And it won't let up until election day, on the first Tuesday of November.
So, if I come around here, grumping about all the crap, just bear with me. It happens every four years at about this time.

We get quite a bit of coverage on the conventions you have over there and that is plenty for me! Hope you survive all the hype LMA...
We have elections coming up very soon which includes all of the stuff you are getting! Debates and election polls, so much wasted paper and money on leaflets and tv ads. Certainly not setting any good examples in my opinion.
It's enough to drive anyone mad, apart from those who already are of course
Still if it gets any worse LMA, we can always visit The Chronicles
