Subterranean Scott Card Blues

Here's a link to my blog, in which I blurt about today's controversy, ie- Hamlet's-father-Subterranean-press-Scott-Card-gate.
To be honest, others have done a better job of covering this than me. Luckily, I've linked to their pages.

Gosh, Jim, tell us what you really think. None of this walking on eggshells for fear of offending anyone.Quote:Originally Posted by Jim posting in his other blogWhat the hell is a homophobic drone to a hoax-birthed religion doing in Science Fiction- the genre of progress- anyway? (I've met the man. My impression was that he is arrogant. I think that's just him, though, not anything to do with his religion really.)Posted 7th September 2011 at 04:56 PM by Teresa Edgerton

Here's his defense of the story:

You've got to love that URL!
I find it fascinating that he didn't want to write about a dithering, indecisive Hamlet (too boring, I expect) and decided to write about one that does exactly what Daddy tells him to do even though he knows it's wrong. Spineless is apparently more interesting than conflicted.Posted 11th September 2011 at 08:18 AM by Teresa Edgerton
