look, i can't think of a title, right?
Random otherness exactly what it says on the packet. Best before whatever TEIN reckons.

Two in one day?

Yep, after nothing for 3 months or so, there's two in one day.

I mentioned that I was doing some dice-rolling; here's a couple of mocked-up covers for the games I'm running/creating/nicking from other sources.

....or, the size of my TBR pile.
  • Peter F Hamilton - Fallen Dragon (bought years back from a clearance on Fargate for 99p, never quite started it)
  • Peter V Brett - Painted Man
  • Ian R MacLeod - The Light Ages (first edition hardback, 74p, The Works, Doncaster. Perfect condition. You really can't argue with that, can you?)
  • David A Durham - Acacia
  • GRRM/Dozois (eds) - Songs of the Dying Earth (hardback from The Works)
  • Joe Abercrombie - Last Argument of Kings
  • Richard Miles - Carthage Must

Holiday

Posted 25th February 2011 at 01:57 PM by chopper

Or, rather, a nice few days with good friends, down in the vale of Evesham. The weather's been mostly cack, and i haven't done half as much writing as i really wanted to, but on the other hand i got to see my niece and nephew and - more importantly - Mrs C was calm, relaxed, slept well, and went to meet the young charmers for the first time since heaven knows when.

One creative positive as well: I'm up to 70% completion on the first draft, and i've finally figured out a way to finish...

In fact, I also managed to complete the second volume as well, and part 3 is well underway (on 14k and slowly rising).

On the other hand, Malessar's Curse is still...

Remember these?
Quote:
  1. Finish either Malessar's Curse or Empire Dance Vol.1
  2. Exhaust all submission possibilities for the current crop of short stories
  3. Go to at least one convention.
  4. Get the hell outta Meadowhall
  5. Get Championship Manager working on the Linux-powered Acer Aspire One I'm currently using.
Okay, here's the update:

Empire Dance Vol.1 - finished. MC - still going.
Submissions - still ongoing. Winter Road bounced politely by Beneath Ceaseless Skies...
