after a few technical hitches, the anthology of writing by the Sheffield SFF Writers' Group has finally fit the stands. well, i say stands, i mean Lulu shopfront - but in these times of economic uncertainty and DIY-ness in the industry, that ain't too shabby. phase one of our plot to take over the universe has been set in motion.
the next phase is, of course, actively selling the blessed thing rather than waiting for people to come buy it. which is why you will (with luck) find limited quantities...

No,seriously - I've finally managed to get this bloody Vodafone dongle thing to recognise my Acer Aspire Linux OS, and so I'm now sat at work in a freezing staffroom, eating cheese sandwiches, watching Sky Sports News (Up the Wolves!) and sharing my thoughts with you.

Excellent.

Now to download that Linux text-based fully-editable version of a football management program.....

Don't expect much work from me for the next few weeks.....

....which is a bad thing, especially at this time of the night. But - I've seen the impressive cover for the next issue of Pantechnicon, and I am mightily chuffed.

Third on the cover! If i wasn't tiddly, i'd bounce around a bit! I'm in extremely good company too - both Ian Sales and Ian Whates (both residents of this fair realm) are also in this issue - due end of March, I'm told.

Hot diddly!

Gosh, is it really that time? Argh.

Milestone!

Posted 10th February 2009 at 10:53 PM by chopper

the little Excel file i update every few days when i feed in the wordcount for the various chapters of Malessar's Curse has just given me a rather amazing number.

50000 words.

crikey. that's a lot of writing. i have to wonder what %age of that figure is actually any cop. and there's a lot to think about too - if this is 50k, how far will i be by 100k? what size will "finished" be? should i actually have a target at all, or just keep on keeping on?

Two years after signing up for Google AdSense (adverts on yer website, dontcha know), and 12 whole months after last updating the website itself (too busy writing to code pages...) I finally found my Google log-in information this morning.

So I thought: just out of curiosity, has anybody passed by my site and clicked the adverts?

Imagine my surprise - I've got $1.49 sat in a holding account waiting for me.

Whoopee!

just a shame i have to wait...
