  • Peter V Brett - Painted Man
  • Ian R MacLeod - The Light Ages (first edition hardback, 74p, The Works, Doncaster. Perfect condition. You really can't argue with that, can you?)
  • David A Durham - Acacia
  • GRRM/Dozois (eds) - Songs of the Dying Earth (hardback from The Works)
  • Joe Abercrombie - Last Argument of Kings
  • Richard Miles - Carthage Must Be Destroyed
  • Brandon Sanderson - Final Empire
  • Peter Ackroyd - Shakespeare: The Biography
  • David Andress - 1789
  • Judith Herrin - Byzantium
  • Bettany Hughes - Helen of Troy
  • Mark Helprin - Winter's Tale
  • Neal Stephenson - Anathem (American hardback, first edition, from The Works)
  • Neal Stephenson - The Confusion
  • Alison Weir - Eleanor of Aquitaine
  • Susanna Clarke - Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
  • Paul Kearney - Hawkwood & the Kings
  • R Scott Bakker - The Thousandfold Thought
I'm an accomplished charity-shopper, as well as a conneisseur of The Works, but a good few of those are full-price purchases from Waterstones as well as gifts. Some of these books are probably never going to get read unless I break a leg. Or two.
