Sad day

I've just typed up a blog post, that upon re-reading was too full of sad detail, and morose reflection to actually post up.

Suffice it to say, very dear friends of ours lost their unborn baby at 8 months. We're all very, very devastated for them, and so very sad.

Had to get it out somewhere.

Makes me look at my two with much more patience. I really am lucky to have such lovely children - and two of them - even if after day 2 of half term has driven...

Family Matters: Painless

I was just rereading the first entry in these family matters blogs and something has occurred to me. The whole reason I started writing them was to address an issue that I had been avoiding, but that led me to start talking about the family, and the more I talked the more I was able to push that initial subject further away.

The family history is very interesting, especially the older stuff, and I will write one last one to tie everything together but the main reason I started this...

Family Matters: My Grandfather

I have struggled to write this next part of my blog for a couple of days now and I am not sure why, perhaps it is simply because I have reached the part where I am alive and can draw on my own memories so there is much more I could write.
