I'm not trying to trap you, or to be 'clever', but if anyone can stravagate why did Lucien not take a talisman to his parents at the end so they could visit at will? I appreciate this would have dulled the bitter-sweet ending, but I'm trying to think of a reason why Rodolfo might forbid this. |
