This is my favourite of all Stephen King's books. I try to read it every few years. This time I downloaded it to my MP4 player and have been listening to it for the last few weeks. It's the first audiobook that I've listened to, and it's rather marvelous. You (obviously) have to listen to every word, rather than skip past paragraphs and skim over lines. It concentrates the mind and makes you realise how much you've missed the other times you read it.
Mark's night time visitation, and the death of Susan are even more terrifying when you're listening to them as well! |
