Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection!

I took me 2 days just to get that room in an ordered state, I just kind of bundled them back on the shelf as I was tired - I am planning a redecoration and new furniture in there including a nice big book case along one wall - when I do you can come and sort them out for me Hoopy

Oh and books are upside down as a friend stayed over and used them to wedge the door shut so my cat didn't attack him in his sleep he isn't into books so just stuffed em back on the shelf the next day

YAY!

I love organising bookshelves almost as much as I enjoy reading them That sounds like an awesome bookshelf, you'll have to post new pictures once you get it!

I shall do - be a few months off yet as have to clear the room to get a new carpet down - oh joy

Just noticed my tbr pile is reducing quickly - books not put away on 3rd shelf, though Deadhouse gates is in the bedroom and The Name of the wind is sitting here on my desk. Not sure which to read next now Abercrombie is done

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection!

I thought I'd take an updated shot of my lowest shelf:

Most of those at the front are in my to-read pile, barring Gemmell, McCaffrey, Matheson, and King.

I know what you mean.

Your shelves aren't that different to mine. I just happen to have some more shelves (42 in total) with all shelves full. I probably have approx 1400 books at the moment there with 2,500 maximum capacity. I have 20 different subcategories and within each it is alphabetically ordered.

I'll post pics in the next couple of weeks.

cheers...

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection!

Haven't been about for a while so I'm trying to catch up with posts but I had to add my collection to this thread! I have a fair amount but like some have already said, I just can't stop buying books! Anyway, here's my lot!

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection!

I spy a Dark Tower series the same as mine (same editions, same ones in paperback and hardback). But no Wizard and Glass? Or am I just overlooking it?

Oh, but a fine collection indeed.

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection!

There is a Wizard and Glass but it's a small hardback. Went on ebay to get the hardback but what the seller didn't specify was that it was a book club edition! Kept it anyway because I had to read it!
