Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Unfortunately, mine's all in boxes spread between my room at college, my new home, and storage still from my old home. And on top of that, my camera was stolen a few months ago. Still, I'm proud of my rather small but top-quality collection ![]()

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Boxes are OK (we ave all been there). With all the students here are there no brick/block and board shelves? Some folks got pretty creative with these when I was at Uni. Enjoy!

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Okay, I haven't posted in here yet - and you'll see why. My collection is so small, and some of the books aren't even read! Here's the top shelf, along with some DVDs: ![]() (My mum gave me all the Anne McCaffery books, and the Terry Brooks, and the Piers Anthony, and the David Eddings, and I've yet to get through them all.) Second one: ![]() Third one: ![]() Fourth one: ![]() And my writing corner, with all of the stuff for my story: ![]()

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! I count at least 7 cars! a fan of them be you? you need wider shelves - or you can try vertically stacking books (I find more fit in that way )

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! My room is tiny, so I couldn't fit in wider shelves. And those cars are the only ones I can display. The rest - perhaps 50 or 60 - are in boxes. I told you my room was small!Even my vast pottery collection remains boxed - and has been since I moved up to Cumbria several years ago! Wybren, yes, I love BMWs! Most of the models are Z3s, Z4s, and such.

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Pride and Prejudice looks a bit lonely in there! ![]() Nice to see two copies of LotR, though....one to read and one for the maps? Or are those the videos in the slip-case?

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Videos, Py! And hello! I'm away soon. Grrr. But my copy of LoTR has maps in the end. Oh, and there's also The Hobbit there, too, which has been passed down through my family for years. ![]() Pride and Prejudice was this year's Xmas gift, actually. Normally I hate romance stuff, but I'd watched that movie 16 times in preparation for my English GCSE exam, so I got into it.... ![]()

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! If you ever see the older Unwin h/b copies in a charity shop, Leish, snap them up...but make sure they've got the A3 fold-out maps of Middle-earth inside the back cover of FotR and TT, and, especially, the large-scale Gondor/Mordor one in RotK....

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Here is the stuff I have unpacked and shelved in my office right now. We moved a few months ago, and most of my books are still in boxes, waiting patiently for me to build shelves and unbox them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Show us you fantasy/ficiton-bookcollection! Speaking of before and after pics, most of my books have been in boxes for about 6 years now and the rest are all over the place but after looking around for ages I think I've finally found someone who can do a half decent job putting some shelves together for us. Will be putting down a deposit Saturday and then it looks like it'll be ~ 2 months before he can do them but I will finally have my Library, yay! Nothing too extensive, about 5-6m in shelves (in an L shape with corner computer table) is the plan so hopefully I'll be back soon with pictures .
