What is your writing inspiration? What works for you to get you to sit down some where and actually produce words?

I think the main thing is my mood.

If you do not really feel like writing and sit down with pen and paper or infront of the computer screen, you really are not going to get much done at all!
I know from experience.

Also if I have just read something or watch a film that really moves me, I find ideas come flooding into my mind, not plagurism, just the landscape or something like that will give me an idea for 'what happens next' in my book.

Finally I also think that it depends where I am that moves me to write.
If im outside on a nice day I will tend to get more ideas done than if I was in my front room with the tv on...

Music usually gets me writing.
But quite often my inspiration can come if, on the odd occasion, I'm sitting in the back garden smoking a cigar. An idea will pop in my head and start running into crazy storylines- I then have to rush to the PC to get it all in Word before I forget it.
