Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Come on guys, Jeynestown all the way! For me that wins the funny stakes, though not hands down as its very close. I also love Objects in Space and out of Gas, I thought those two were so well done, and in particular they accentuated the character development. Mmmm... Though that second one with Mrs Reynolds featured many a fine example of Mal's finer points, didn't it?

The hero of Canton, the man we call Jayne!" Jayne always makes me laugh, even more than Wash. Although I laughed out loud at Wash's line, "We gotta go to the crappy town where I'm a hero!" Maybe we should start a thread for non-season 2 stuff--with a title like "Wonderful things about Firefly"? | |

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? I only got into Firefly through the DVD's (a shiny christmas present from my Uncle ) and I'm proud to call myself a Browncoat! favourite episode...it's a real tough one but just for the sheer fun-ness of it I'll have to pick 'Jeynestown' but 'Mrs Reynolds' comes close. Kaylee is far and away my favourite character. best Kaylee bit is from 'Serenity' when Mal and Jeyne are talking about how nothing could stop her being chirpy and she says "I love my captain!" makes me chuckle every time!

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Nothing really to add to the conversation - just that I watched the whole lot again over the last couple of weeks and I love it more than I did before! River has to be my fav character - I am so dissapointed that we never get to see her develop through another series or so. I thought Simon was also a great character. Maybe I liked these characters because they gave the show it's main story arc and mystery. Fav episode - dunno - liked all of them. Like you guys say, Jaynetown and Mrs Reynolds are pretty neat. Also liked Objects In Motion, Serenity, Out of Gas and....see I love them all! I dunno, I guess I really took to the characters and story in Firefly. It probably was not intended to be a seven series show, and so in some ways maybe a short lived but very bright life is best. It is hard to see how it could remain so good for longer than a couple of seasons. If you look at other shows like Farscape and Bab5, all really great shows - but there were only a couple of seasons that really shined (IMHO). We need a second season definitely And/or a second film! Anyone know the latest about the possibility of a second film?Always a sign of a good book/show - one that you watch and throughly enjoy and yet you feel sad when it ends!

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Well, my favourite episode was Shindig. Mal: "Mercy is the mark of a great man...." *stab* "I guess I'm just a good one" *stab* "Well, I'm alright" ![]()

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Yeah Shindig was also good! Mal probably had the best lines didn't he! Although for shear quality and class it was hard to beat some of Jayne's one-liners "I'll be in my bunk" for example.

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? the "I'll be in my bunk" line totally brought me back to the StarTrek episode where Famke Janssen played the metamorph woman who was stirring up all the men. After flirting with Riker, he looked to another crew member and said "If anybody needs me I'll be on holodeck 4." After that holodeck 4 became a euphamism for the same thing Jayne was talking about. I wish I could erase my memories and watch Firefly for the first time again.

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? I am sure I read on a firefly website somewhere that they were taking a poll of users who would be willing to watch video streaming of NEW episodes of the series and make it available only online,,,screw the TV To##ers that dumped the show in the first place.... I would prefer if they make DVD's available but I dont remember the timescale they hoped for...i seem to recall that they were based in Canada... Cheers fellow browncoats

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Interesting. Although the cynical side of me (hey I used to be an Accountant - sorry) suggests that this is not likely to happen. I would have thought the rights would stay with the studio so that they could do a Serenity 2. And even if the rights were sold, is there really enough money in internet or alternative distribution? And this is all assumming any investor could take a web poll like the one I have just completed seriously enough to cough up cash? Don't get me wrong - I would love to see Firefly back - my favourite ever show. Does anybody think I am wrong? SteveR

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Thanks for the "Season 2" website link, Spiritdragon! I visited the site and entered my preferences. I said I'd pay $4.99 per episode. SteveR, I hear your doubt. I feel it, too. ![]() A related topic: I just read the Serenity comic, Those Left Behind. Have any of you read it? Not as good as an episode, but it filled in some gaps between the series and the movie. I just wish ****SPOILER**** I could have seen the actors play the scene where Book hits Mal in the face.

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Firefly must never die! Jayne is my favorite character ![]() I bet in 30 years or so someone will dig up the old scripts and remake the series, and continue it. One can only hope they do as good a job, because better would be very difficult!

Re: Firefly - Possible Season 2? Would they be able to find someone as drool-worthy as Nathan Fillion? Someone who can act goofy, noble, dark, irritating, flumoxed, totally focused, protective, needing protection, or quietly heart-torn--and all the shades of expression in between?
