Re: kick out the tunes

i'm suprised you've heard of PUSA
Movin’ to the country,Gonna eat a lot of peachesMovin’ to the country,
Gonna eat me a lot of peachesMovin’ to the country,
Gonna eat a lot of peachesMovin’ to the country,
Gonna eat a lot of peaches

Peaches come from a can,They were put there by a man In a factory downtown
If I had my little way,I’d eat peaches every day
Sun-soakin’ bulges in the shade

Take a little naps where the roots all twist
Squished a rotten peach in my fist
And dreamed about you, woman,
I poked my finger down inside
Make a little room for it to hide
Nature’s candy in my hand or can or a pie

Millions of peaches, peaches for me
Millions of peaches, peaches for free

Look out!

I used to listen to the Presidents a lot. I haven't even thought of them in a long time. Anyone heard of the Exies? I love their stuff. 12 Stones is good too!

Re: kick out the tunes

The song 'Lump' by PUSA was a huge hit here in the U.S.; Weird Al Yankovic even did a parody called 'Gump' about (obviously) Forrest Gump. They also did a version of 'Cleveland Rocks' which was the opening song for 'The Drew Carey Show'. Amazing how I can know so much about a band I don't really listen to.

Re: kick out the tunes

They had quite a few hits in Oz, I always liked Dune Buggy. I used to listen to a scottish band Del Amitri and if your not from australia you probably havent heard of Powderfinger, an all time favourite band, There's also a aussie rapper butterfingers, who is good for a laugh, doesn't take himself too seriously.

I was going to say Turin Brakes and The Black Keys but everyone has heard of them (I think), but both groups ROCK!

Ps I met someone the other day who had never heard of The Ramones.

Enjoyed Del Amitri and some of Powderfinger's stuff. What about Johnny Diesel who now is just known as Diesel? Pretty good guitarist and is doing concerts here in Perth.

One of my favourite Perth bands was V Capri - back in 1985 with their hit "Haunting Me'...
