| Re: Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker Series Adaptation Hi Khan, How can anyone not like your work, I'm jealous of your talent. Im curious do you do your own distribution or do you go through a wholesaler like Diamond to do that for you? Or both? How did you start your comapany if you dont mind me asking, Im sure many of us would like to know about your humble beginings. |

| Re: Orson Scott Card's Alvin Maker Series Adaptation Genisis2 my friend, don't be jealous, just join in and enjoy our adaptations, believe me we have more good stuff coming for you Diamond does our distribution for us. I don't mind you asking. I used to hate books when I was a kid, but when I was 12, my brother Les bought me a book for Christmas. I was really upset with him, but not wanting to hurt his feelings, I decided that I would pretend to read it to please him. So I read the first line and it read something like this: "In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit..." I was like, what's a Hobbit? and why would it live in a hole in the ground? I was hooked and I read the entire book, then Lord of the Rings, then the Silmarillion. It got so bad that I was eventually reading five books at the same time. My brother Les was really good at drawing, really good. One day we decided to make a comic book and bring it to Marvel, but that didn't work out, so we decided to start our own company and do it ourselves. We then put our project aside and started George R.R. Martin's The Hedge Knight, that was a complete success, and after that the authors have been jumping on board and joining us. But my brothers and I are truly greatful to God who has supported us through the good times and bad. We can only humbly say that God has opened up doors of opportunity for us we never imagined, so we continue to trust in Him and work hard and encourage others to reach for their goals ![]() |
