Hello and Welcome - Please Read First.

If you have just arrived through my new website, or the Sword Publishing website, or through a link on one of my emails, then welcome to my little corner of the vast website that is Chronicles. The Chronicles Network is a forum based on line community of several thousand individuals who are interested in Science Fiction, Fantasy, or related topics. It is the largest site of its kind based in the UK. This is my author board, which acts as a focus for discussing my works, future works, events etc. Please do feel free to post points for discussion on existing threads, or if a thread doesn’t yet exist for the subject, or question you wish to discuss, then please start a new one.

To navigate around Chronicles, I should first point out the Main Navigation Page This can also be reached by the link at the top of this page, labelled 'Science Fiction and Fantasy Forums'.

From here you will find all the main areas of the site. Please do pay a visit to the Intoductions Board and let everyone know you’ve arrived. I can assure you a warm welcome. The people here are all very friendly.

Please note that this is a family site; bad language, posts that are abusive, or posts that are purely self promotional will be removed and possibly result in you being banned. A team of dedicated moderators monitor the site, and I would hate to think anyone who had entered through my acquaintance would cause problems. As I am a part of the moderating team, I would rather not have to run around putting out fires caused by fans of my work.

For those of you who are aspiring writers then there is a great place here for you. On the Aspiring Writers Forum discussions on all aspects of writing abound. If you would like your work critiqued, then you can post work on the Critiques Board and other writers, both amateur and professional may take time to comment on it. If you are keen to post work there, please do take time to read the guidelines in the top thread on that board before starting a new thread.

Chronicles plays host to other professional writers of fantasy, and we hope to attract more here in time to answer questions from their fans. Kate Elliot has visited the site and answered questions posed by some of her readers here.

Possibly the most active professional writer here on the site is Madeline Howard She has also written under the name of Teresa Edgerton, (which is her real name, and her name on this website) and is a regular contributor to many discussions in virtually all areas. Madeline is currently writing a stunning fantasy series called The Rune of Unmaking, published by Harper Collins (US). The first book is called The Hidden Stars . It features highly on my recommended list for those who like epic fantasy on the scale of Lord of the Rings. Many here at Chronicles are awaiting Book 2 with baited breath. Although the book is only distributed in the US at the moment, those from the UK can order it through the link provided.

Once again, welcome to Chronicles. Do take time to have a good look around. There is so much here that it would be hard not to find something of interest to anyone who likes Fantasy or Science Fiction. I look forward to seeing you around the boards.
