X-Men 2 I never got round to seeing this at the cinema so it was a pleasant surprise when the DVD arrived today. Just finished watching it and it's (on the whole) a fine sequel. One small thing: I felt that it was geared to an audience already familiar -not just with the first film - but the X-Men in general. Apart from that - most enjoyable. Pull up a chair, get the popcorn and enjoy the ride. ![]()

If the X-Men 2 DVD arrived through my door anytime soon, I too would be pleasantly surprised - namely because I haven't ordered it. ![]() Actually, maybe time to check out the rental shop. ![]()

I liked the second one - but ni some respects it was weaker than the first. True, X-men had "Toad" as a villain character, and he was frankly just a little laughable as a foe. But there were substantial weak plot moments in X-Men 2 - for example, when the children leave the house we never get to see what happened to them after. And another was when the X-Men plane was coming to earth - and just happened to do so over the exact part of the earth where Magneto was. Bit disappointing to see Professor X so little active as well. Maybe it's just because I was a little hyped for it. Still a decent film and worth watching.
