Well, thanks to a friend I have come across this page, and discover the wonderful, although I think a better descriptive word would be horrid, way of how you think of daemons.

You may think horrid to be a bit of an extreme, maybe that is so. But honestly, you should have had more blood sense. Especially on a forum discussing literature.

First of all, ignore those bloody name generators. You decide what your daemon's name is, that is not to say that you can't use them, though, you are absolutely free to use them if you wish to have a possibly over used and generic name. Second, do not rely on a basic and limited quiz to tell you the animal that would fit your personality like a metaphorical glove. These quizzes almost always have just a few results, and are inaccurate.

The best example would be the wolf: no matter what you hear in legend or fiction: wolves are not loners. They are strongly pack animals, relying on a very steadfast hierarchy to thrive in the wild. A cat, or any feline, would be a solitary animal. And while on this note, a snow leopard is not at all like how Lord Asriel is depicted. Snow leopards are very solitary animals, and would shy away from a fight before actively trying to act out against something(like the church).

Now I am sure I seem like a troll, but to the hells with it, at least people will be some the wiser because of this. And maybe this thread is a bit old, but I think it is okay to revive such a thing if you have something important to add. I took one of the Daemon tests and this is what I got. I'm well-pleased. I didn't expect to get such a cool daemon. I thought I'd get a tortoise or a gerbil but instead...

When i did the daemon test thingy mine was a chimpanzee named Ariel. I did it a second time just to see if i got the same again but instead i got some kind of little monkey. Maybe my daemon is a mix of both! But that would just be freaky.

Realistically and not giving myself much credit here, I think I might be a Hyena, because I can be aggressive when I want to but am prone to laziness and even though they don't really laugh, I am kind of lighthearted. Also, I think I would shrink from physical confrontation but not stop running my mouth anyway.

After taking the quiz, however, my daemon in an Eagle....good at fighting, among other things....I never knew!

Ravens are on of my favourite animals. I met a wild raven once and it fed out of my hands. Such beautiful birds.
I also did the name generator and got 'Galian' - thats a nice name for a Raven.
