Re: you lovely ppl

Well basically anything written by Wolfe is worth checking out.

Make sure you have a look over at the Wolfe subforum in the Authors forum to check out more by this wonderful writer. Once you've completed Book Of The New Sun you may be interested in pursuing the other books in the series that I've listed over in the Wolfe forum from a thread Brian started.

New Sun is brilliant sciecne fantasy and one of my 5 fav fantasy books of all time!

If you want something more on the fantasy side then I can recommend his duology Latro In The Mist about a Roman soldier Latro roaming around Ancient Greece, the catch being he forgets everything that's happended to him every morning he wakes up so he keeps a diary of his adventures in order to relearn about himeslf although he doesn't even know his own origins or what his real name is. He can also directly commune with the Gods unlike other mortals. Brilliant stuff!

Re: you lovely ppl

It may also be worth checking out the Author boards here, as they represent the most discussed authors here - may be a good place to find more good reading.

Also, remember that there's a specific Gene Wolfe board for discussions of that author's works.
