The idea of putting flashbacks into ad hoc chapters is not such hard a thing to implement. I think that what helps is finding a thread (a detail, a theme) that links to the main storyline. That's what I did when I had enourmus chunks of story situated a long time before, these chunks being necessary to understand the main story. |
