They already tried that in Iraq, and now have to station 160,000 US troops there because of that, plus troops in Afghanistan as well.
What's really interesting is that for all the blustering of the US, because they have troops next door in Iraq, these are short-range targets for Iranian reprisal.
Much as though Iran may be lined up for air strikes by the US, it can only be labelled a completely dumb move, unless the US has any kind of after-strike planning in place. Which doesn't usually seem to happen. |
