I happened to read the three trilogies in the right order, not out of design, but just because that was the order in which we were able to buy the books. Reading them in that order did help me understand everything better, so yes, if you can read them in order, I agree that that would be best.

I also agree that these books were brilliant. Robin Hobb has an amazing amount of talent that comes out in these books. Shaman's Crossing, on the other hand, I'm not so fond of, and haven't read the ones after that in that series. But these were amazing.
