I read recently that there will be yet another re-issue of BladeRunner (
SCI FI Wire | The News Service of the SCI FI Channel | SCIFI.COM), and that it will be even closer to Scott's vision for the film. I thought the "director's cut", which wasn't cut by Scott, was pretty good, but I'm looking forward to this one.
An interesting note was that in the Melbourne Age Scott was quoted as saying he wanted to make another sci-fi movie and was waiting for the right script. I notice that there is another thread on a Dune remake, maybe Scott is eyeing this one. Given Scott is good at directing epic violence with moody protagonists, does anyone have any suggestions? I wouldn't mind to see an Iain M Banks' Culture novel on the screen, Consider Phlebas for example.
