I don't see Alleras being nothing more than a supporting character for Samwell. I fairly certain he will not get a POV. He will be Sam's teacher and friend at the Citadel. But does he have other goals, maybe since he is really close with Archmaester Marwyn, he has been given instructions on what he should be doing while the Archmaester is absent. I can't say right now for certain.

But Tyrion is going to be the first to arrive at Dany's doorstep, so I believe she is going to trust him. Which will be a good thing to do, Dany is a good woman, but a poor leader and even a poorer dragon trainer. She is going to need Tyrion's consuel on all things. I see her making him one of the riders she is searching for lately. But I do see Tyrion is going to have a hard time trying to control the dragons, since it would be easier if they started a lot younger and smaller. Tyrion is crafty, he will find a way to train them. Or die trying!
