MotN, When you say you don't "see Matin making him (Alleras) a main character this late in the series" do you mean getting a POV or becoming a major influence on the storylines regarding The Iron Throne and The Other?
It's been reported that GRRM stated in a Con or on his website that the three heads need not be Targs. I'm sure this information is somewhere in the first nine pages of this thread... my apologies for not narrowing it down further.
In my opinion, Tywin got it in the middle.
As for the idea that Tyrion will be the dragon's trainer... I like it. I don't recall that particular angle being brought up before. But with the Dany spoiler chapter revealing the lack of control that Dany has with Drogon, Tyrion training them makes sense. But making the transition from possessing volumes of knowledge about dragons to actually training them will be a big step for Tyrion. |
