Heres my recent scenario (err hypothesis) concerning the knight of flowers....

You know how Cersei kind of hoisted herself on her own petard with insisting Maergy be defended by a Kingsguard? Well Qyburn has a body down there in the dungeon looking for a way to be animated....what if he comes to Cersei and says I can use the mind or soul or whatever of Loras to animate the construct and be your champion. Cersei could then tell the people its Loras returned by magic or merely appoint monstrosity into the Kingsguard and armor him up so people wont see him.

Now I dont think its neccessarily going to be so but I think the church will not appoint their own champion, but rather because Cersei is Maergies accuser, allow their respective champions to duke it out....except Maergy doesnt really have a member of the Kingsguard to be her champion....unless you count Jaime who just returned to Kings Landing to tell Cersei to go <expletive deleted> herself. Da da duh......Jaime fights the evil monstrosity and wins by some small miracle allowing the valonqar prophecy and the young queen prophecy to be fulfilled at the same time.
