| Re: Stephen King I dearly loved the first books in the Dark Tower series (I-III) the fourth was disappointing and to tell you the truth the last three had me shaking my head at how he was able to mimick the writing style of so many other great writers but still end up with a complete rag that the used book stores only want to give a $2.00 store credit for (that's not sarcasm). Maybe its just that I outgrew his writing style, but I don't think so, I still love his novel The Talisman written with Peter Straub. I'm surprised JK Rowling didn't sue him for copyright infringement, but I guess she's not as much of a stickler as, say, George Lucas. For anyone who likes the first three books, I would reccomend stopping there and imagining how you would like it to end. Anything you come up with is bound to be better and it will save you much disappointment. |
