I'd say that if they did have to keep it going, they had SOME good episodes. That "should I be annoyed that they've never mentioned a sister before now" period until Dawn's nature was revealed, though you can't really beat destroying the entire town as a series finale.
Also, not having a plot involving Caleb might have meant not having Joss meet Nathan, which in turn might have meant no Firefly. And that would have been a bigger problem than its early demise. |
