To answer your question, the second portion is set during the same timeframe, although I could definitely do a better job clearing that up. It's essentially a flashback/dream/call-it-what-you-will of the Abukuma's captain, after being knocked out.
(All of which should probably be included in there, or else I'll be busy explaining that to a bunch of readers... hmm.) |
