they put her name in for belgarath. the author's note at the beginning stated she had been collaborating with David from the beginning. its my belief that she was the main reason the characters were far more realistic than ones where an author tries to write fo the other gender. suspecting if David keeps writing he will either leave out major female roles, or they will not be quite so believable.
