As for Bronn... Bronn may have had dealings with Tywin in the past but was not currently employed... he'd have known at once that this was his chance to get back in good with the richest man in the realm. This explains his fighting at Tyrion's trial. It would also explain his not fighting at Tyrion's second trial.
As for Shae... she was not "a chance meeting" on the road. She was found in Tywin's camp. The golden necklace is a clue I'd overlooked! I think that strengthens the Shae as Tywin's spy theory... that's the closest thing I have to proof.
