As we're watching from new, we're still trying to figure things out - I think Peter is absorbing gifts from others, but it's exciting watching how everything turns out.
I figure because of Pete & his brother's abilities, the depression the dad suffered maybe has a bit more to it than the story has revealed to us so far.
