Discworld con 2006

Umm .... Anyone planning on going to Discworld Con 2006? (http://www.dwcon.org/) Anyone know anything about what's going to dazzel this year? Anyone been before and lived to tell the tale? I've been wanting to go to dwcon ever since I went to the Worldcon last year (ever since I heard about it, and found out that conventions are not stereotyped.) I have a vague suspicion that I won't be able to go this year, but there's a dwcon in Britain every two years, right?

Re: Discworld con 2006

As I am a new member I have just seen your post. Yes every two, but on the years in between there is usually other Discworld themed events, Wadfest that's a camping one And twice a year in Wincanton once inthe Spring And in December Terry attends them tours permiting.
The ones in Wincanton are organised by the Cunning Artificer Bernard, check the website for details of the one in the 1st week in Dec.

Dworld cons are good fun but can be hetic, this year there was some clips of the new film, Hogfather and we got some of the tooth fairies collection of teeth from the film set.
