That's what got to me, though. Snape's love for Lily puts it all into perspective; his resentment of Harry, who lived because she died, his hatred of Voldemort, and his loyalty to Dumbledore, the one person who could avenge her.
It was nice to know that Dumbledore's only error was the ring's curse, which would've killed him anyway.
