You can use
portside crew pit. Star Wars is buried under so many terms like comlink, or portside crew pit, that unless you're using lightsaber, jedi, sith lord, Death Star, Endor, Jabba's Palace, or concepts that Star Wars couldn't do without, you should be ok.
I'm almost certain I heard them use the term hydrospanner in an episode of Star Trek. I first heard that term in The Empire Strike Back, so you're pretty safe.
