| Re: Star Trek XI and Youtube? Most films are shown to a preview audience and then re-edited. Why mess around with a standard procedure by turning the making of (what is imho) an important film in Trek history.
JJ Abrams is a competent director and I am very much looking forward to seeing how he delievers Star Trek XI. I will admit I have severe reservations to a prequel film - Gene Roddenberry was all about looking forward to a better future, and Enterprise was a bold idea but ultimately failed mainly due to its prequel premise. I sincerely hope that this new film does not make similar mistakes. Star Trek needs to be brought back with a major bang. It needs to hit all the right spots with fans and newcomers and springboard into a fantastic new series. I am really impressed with Lost and MI:III and am delighted that Star Trek now has JJ at the helm. Please don't turn it into another reality TV type thing where fans get to vote for the best scene - how awful would that be??? |
