Actually Sparhawk is often referred to as being unattractive, he's called ugly, battered and sometimes even compared to his horse. I've read two copies of the paperbacks into tatters, but I'll pull up some quotes.
Malkovich can play big, he played a very convincing Lennie in Of Mice and Men and that was a character who possessed brute strength. And to me he would capture 'battered' very well.
As for Viggo .... I would hope he's kept away from any main roles. Give him something like Perraine if he must be in it. |
