Re: Anyone Heard of These?

I would put Sapphire Hunting at around 14 years.

But it is difficult, isn't it? Ages are so different for different children.

Re: Anyone Heard of These?

Hello everybody!

Just wanted to give you a little update on some books. In particular,

The Dragons In Our Midst series by Bryan Davis
The Guardians of Ga'Hoole series by Kathryn Lasky
The Warriors series by Erin Hunter

I now have all of the books in these three series. I have read the first book in Kathryn Lasky's series, entitled The Capture. It was a pretty good read, although I'm not terribly fond of Ms. Lasky's poetry. She uses verse throughout her books, and in my opinion those moments are the weakest in the book. However, kids might enjoy the verse.

I am now halfway through the first book in Mr. Davis' series, entitled Raising Dragons, and I must say that I am HIGHLY impressed! The book is excellent. As I said before, it is Christian fantasy, but I truly think it is good enough that those who are not Christians could still enjoy it!

I have not yet read any of Ms. Hunter's books. I had considered reading book 1 in her Warriors series next, but now I'm torn - whether to read that or go on to Book 2 in the Dragons In Our Midst series! I'll let you know what I decide.

I hope this helps!
