Re: Trivia Anyone have any actual description of what 'the red seregon' is, plz? [Edit: Ive corrected myself, I believe, sorry. Seems seregon is related to stonecrop and not, as I imagined, to heathers.]

Re: Trivia I had a question posed about this situation late last year, but it was never answered. So, the answer is the sun (Anar) and moon (Isil) illuminate the Ilumen. Anar and Isil. From the words we get Minas Anor (later, Minas Tirith) and Isildur (devoted to the moon). His name implys his kinship with the elves. The Maiar who were related to the sun and moon were Arien (Anar) and Tilion (Isil)??? Ok, now I'm going to have to subscribe to the thread, since I'm bound to not check back... ![]()

Re: Trivia As we know, Fëanor created the Silmarils. They were stolen by Melkor, though, and imbedded on a crown on his head. Fëanor leads the Noldor out of Aman to reclaim them. After the three Silmarils are recovered by three individuals, where do they end up? What were their fates more specifically? (I'm sticking to the Silmarillion for the answer).

Re: Trivia One Simaril drove Maedhros mad and he threw himself into a fiery chasm with the jewel, Maglor threw the other into the depths of the sea. The last one is in the possession of Earendil.
