Re: Trivia Last into Bilbo's hole was either Thorin or Bombur... Bombur fell on Thorin, so if Bombur backed up then he was probably the last to enter. The first dwarf to enter Beorn's house was Thorin. The first dwarf to enter the nasty stream in Mirkwood was Bombur. The first dwarf to enter Erebor was Thorin.

Re: Trivia Okay... here's another convoluted genealogical question: Who was Eldarion's maternal grandmother's maternal grandfather's half-brother? Hint: You must have a knowledge of The Silmarillion and the appencices of ROTK in order to answer this. Eldarion and his maternal grandmother are in the appendices. His mother, her mother's mother, her mother's maternal grandfather, and the final male in the question are all found in The Silmarillion. Or if you wanna cheat, you can check online with The Encyclopdia of Arda or check JEA Tyler's Tolkien Companion.

Re: Trivia HG, the person I'm looking for is one generation younger than Elwe and he is of the Noldor, not Teleri. I'll take you half the way there... Eldarion is Aragorn's and Arwen's son... so his maternal grandmother was Celebrian, the daughter of Celeborn and Galadriel... Now all you need to know is Galadriel's father and his half-brother!

Re: Trivia Kelpie, No nothing else in mind. Feanor is the answer I was looking for. Thanks for pointing out my blunder. I don't know if it's Alzheimers or arrogance... sheesh. I apologize, I could have sworn Marky posted Fingolfin... but since there is no edit on his post, I am in the wrong. Sorry Marky! You are up... (When I make mistakes like that... It's a wonder I can even walk and chew gum at the same time!)
