Re: Diane Duane looking for help

Diane Duane is a YA author. She's asking that fans of her work let her know if it would be worth the effort and expense for her to do a POD to finish off a trilogy that never got finished and that the publishing houses aren't too interested in. The problem is she likes the story and has gotten quite a few requests for that final book but with several other projects in the works it would cost her a lot (over and above the actual expense of the POD) to put those on the back burner to work on this one.

She's apparently gotten a great deal of response to that original blog and it looks like she may be getting on with it.

For those of you not familiar with Diane Duane, she has many books out there but one of the more familiar ones is this series listed here: http://www.youngwizards.net/

Though she's mostly known for fantasy, she's done quite a bit of scifi, including books based on the Star Trek universe.

So there you go GOLLUM, being a YA author she belongs in this section of the forum. Sorry that the original post had little info in it, I was at work and in a hurry.

Diane Duane is very well known in the US and, I believe, the UK. (She even has her own listing in the Wikipedia!) I guess this is not the case in Australia?

Well not necessarily, I'm not that well versed when it comes to YA authors I must confess.

Sorry Dwndrgn if I came across as being a little snappy, I've had some dissapointing news recently regarding employment prospects that will now see me spend the Christmas/New Year period with time on my hands, so I guess I can always find someone to correspond with on Chronicles...
